During the last few years we have visited numerous restaurants and found a select few we believe to be amongst the best in the area.

La Chalanita

This is one of our very favourite restaurants serving excellent food and delivering first class service.

You can enter La Chalanita from two directions. Firstly from the seafront, up the stairs next door to Casa Pedro… or if mobility and stairs are an issue, then head around the rear for a level floor entrance. It is located 75m to the right of the town centre beach as you face away from the water.

Cervantes

Located along the high street heading towards the marina on the left hand side adjacent to the level crossing. Good food that is less costly than those restaurants that have a sea view.

L’Artista

Located just off the promenade heading towards the Marina. Great Italian food and excellent service served by waiters of real character. Great sea view providing you are seated upstairs on the balcony.

Playa Blanca - Places to Eat

Romantica

Located adjacent to the taxi rank in the centre of PB. Superb food and great service, best to book to be sure of getting a table with a sea view. Don’t be put off by the entrance, the interior is excellent.

Casa Carlos

Another favourite of ours. An extensive menu and superb wines with great service.

Located beyond the new marina heading towards Papagayo. You will need a taxi but it should not cost you more than five euro each way. Highly recommended and well worth a visit. The taxi driver will know the location.
